Play the Technology

‘Circuit Invasions’ is a modular electronic circuit kit designed by Reliquum creator group (based in Seoul) and is an analog / digital game using it.

‘Circuit Invasions’ is a kit designed to meet the technology of electronic circuits in a new way. It consists of blocks with various types of conductive materials and blocks with electronic devices such as LEDs, batteries, piezos and vibration motors. You can build these blocks according to the rules of the game, hold them, and collapse them to create a three-dimensional circuit. Players participate in the game by intervening (invasion) other people’s circuits and connecting (uniting) each other’s circuits.

Reliquum, who has explored experiences that technology has become the subject of play and is closer to individual life, believes that this ‘technology play’ approach can build meaningful moments for us to have the courage of life in an advanced technology society.

Make Relations

‘Circuit Invasions’ range from analog games where people sit together to digital games where objects and virtual interfaces meet. In particular, ‘Circuit Invasions’ in the square are experiments to create social relationships and enhance this experience through the medium of gaming and Kit.

Share & Remix

‘Circuit Invasions’ can be used by different users in different ways. You can set your own rules and change your game goals. If someone’s goal is to turn on a lot of LEDs, someone may aim to quickly turn on one LED to avoid piezo. We want this game to be played back by a lot of people and spread far and wide.

Who we are

Reliquum is a group of people who are trying to restore their environment and daily lives by taking ‘making’ in a new way. We are paying attention to ‘creation, play, experiment’ as a way to consume things, extend their understanding of technology beyond the boundaries of modern social systems they consume, and change their lives through active intervention.
